The Achten – Pavlíček studio is grounded in the specific position of the Model Designing Institute. It focuses on not only the final design, but on the design process itself. Students are introduced to designing using parametric design. In the studio, they apply simulations of real processes, and optimization from the perspectives of energy, environmental and economic construction and subsequent operation. Thematically, the studio builds on complementary activities of the Cabinet - energy self-sufficient buildings, emphasis on sustainable development, etc. The Achten Studio participates in pilot studio education where it applies the BIM—Building Information Modeling—systems.
