Karlovy Vary - Komunitní centrum pro děti

My proposal is for a community centre for children to use, with a café, classrooms, activity and play spaces. It is located in Karlovy Vary on the I.P Pavlova parcel, and therefore one of my main considerations was to connect the building not only to the floor level but also to the hill behind and the existing path on there, in order to make the space more accessible. Each floor has multiple spaces for the children and their families to engage with, creating a space that can be used all day. The building shape and façade is more contemporary in comparison to its neighbours; however, it fits to other new developments in Karlovy Vary, and maintains a similar colour palette. The main construction material is concrete as the load bearing structure.
