This project starts from comprehensive research of the urban Tokyo area, narrow streets, small squares and community life is a big part of the architecture and everyday life. This is the narrative of this design, consisting of a new proposal for the Smichov site for an area of roughly 4400m² the area provides residential, commercial and public functions. By setting 5 model typologies the design was created as a “planned unplanned settlement”, starting from one corner and organically filling in the area leaving space for tiny squares and open spaces where everyday life could take place for the community resulting in a community city.
