Making the main construction of building visible can be often an important part of architectonic intention. Wood is a natural material with specific visual qualities. Leaving of the bearing timber structure without any other covering can bring interesting effects. External side of cross-laminated timber is not usually able to resist against the weather conditions and needs protection of covering layers of the construction. In contrast, the inner side of bearing panels can be left with no cover and the pure structure can be visible in the interior.
