UAV TECHNOLOGY IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Construction is facing technological change. Labour productivity has stagnated for many years and innovation has been very slow. The whole process of the construction life process does not take place within one company, so due to complicated coordination between stakeholders and losses in the transmission of information, errors, economic losses and delays arise. However, digital transformations have begun to take place, now. The purpose is to reduce the cost of the entire project life cycle and improve information sharing capabilities. All participants in the construction the process need to develop new skills acquire additional knowledge and work on existing processes, especially in terms of data transfer and sharing. In certain cases, digital technologies show us a huge benefit from the initial conceptual design of the building to the final stage of construction. By using these technologies properly, companies can reduce the cost of the entire construction lifecycle. One of these relatively young technologies is UAV. UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are commonly referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles or drones. They are aircraft models that are able to fly without a pilot and passengers on board. The drones are therefore controlled remotely by means of radio waves or autonomously according to a prescribed route.
