The work of Benedikt Ried shows a row of similarities to the work of Leonardo da Vinci. They shared the interest in organic principle in architecture and they were both involved in the new art of military architecture. It is not excluded that Ried´a design of the Vladislav Hall at Prague Castle was influenced by Leonardo´s proposal for the completion of the tiburio of Milan Cathedral.
