This paper presents preliminary results of an application of Minimum Energy Transport Activity Access Model on primary and secondary school commuting in two model areas in Prague suburban area. The results suggest minimum energy needs variating between zero and 2180 MJ/family.year, a value comparable with a half of an energy consumption of a 100m2 passive-standard family house (approx 5400 MJ/year).
