ADAPTIVE USE OF ŽIŽKOVA KASÁRNA IN HRADEC KRÁLOVÉ

The subject of the diploma project is to find a convenient use for the Žižkovy Kasárny in Hradec Králové, currently still listed as property of the Army of the Czech Republic, which would fully exploit the potential of this exceptional building and its courtyard fort the development of the city and the building itself. The new use is a combination of functions based on the concept of creative brownfields, which together with the barracks yard, which I am transforming into a new square, aims to create a dynamic space that does not have strict rules but strives to stimulate better perception of public space and Hradec Králové as city with huge potential.
