Apartment House

Abstract The bachelor thesis contains an architectural design of a residential building on the street Čiklová 13a, Prague 2, Nusle, on the land of Umělecká záhrada (Artistic garden). The aim of the work was to create an object in accordance with the urban structure of the area, which would follow the surrounding buildings. The design of the apartment building responds to the character of the land, which is located on a slope. The building consists of above ground and underground floors partially sunk into the slope. Residential units are located on the upper floors. Garages are in the underground floors and in the part protruding to the level of the surrounding terrain, following the original use of the land, a space for art studios is created.
