Annotation

Newly designed multifunctional building is located in Prague, at Klárov. It will serve as seat of Institute for study of totalitarian regimes (ISTR). ISTR is an institution, which examines the period of totalitarian regimes in Czechoslovakia. Purpose of the institution is to present this topic to the public. It's located between the streets Klárov, U Železné lávky, Kosárkovo nábřeží and Nábřeží Edvarda Beneše. The aim of the project is to bring together parts of ISTR, which are now separated. The building will serve to the administrative part of ISTR, to Archive of security forces (ASF) and to public part of ISTR (research room, library, exhibition space, cinema, lecture hall, classrooms, cafe).
