Bath House

The project is based on the previous wider urban study focused on the town of Humpolec and its surroundings. The subject of the bachelor thesis is a building with sports fields and swimming pools. In the broader context, the proposed building aims to renew the recreational area between Cihelský rybník and the park on the east side. The house with its linear character compacts and closes the public space, but mainly offers new opportunities for spending leisure time (or strenggthens te existing ones). The building is two thirds of its total volume above the water level, and is accessible from the south by an access bridge or from the north from the pier. The pier leading along the northern façade shortens the walking route, and at the same time provides direct optical contact with the pond surface, a characteristic feature of this area.
