We look at aging with apprehension and resentment. Seniors are separated, living on the outskirts of cities. The Residence offers seniors a more dignified urban housing. We can find six doctors’ offices and apartments in the building and on the ground floor there is a pastry shop. Housing for the elderly is designed as a separate living cell, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Each room has either loggia or a balcony. The units communicate with each other within a residential corridor into which windows from the rooms open. The doctors’ offices are accessible from the elderly housing. The facade is made of concrete, which give the building a tectonic and dominant expression on the corner.
