Affortable Housing

The subject of the work is the design of an apartment building "Baugruppe", as part of the completion of the city block in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin. The housing concept of the Baugruppe Berlin project is advantageous collective housing, which has a large representation in Berlin, not only for economic reasons, but also in terms of the added value of the building. The project mainly involves various apartments and common areas such as a laundry room, a common room, a roof terrace, and a common courtyard, to create a neighboring culture. Part of the space is used by a public cafe, which activates the neighborhood and can offer the missing work. The whole project is given a clear modulation, which is reflected in the character of the whole building.
