REVITALIZATION OF TUHNICE, KARLOVY VARY

The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of the concept of territorial development of the Tuhnice district in Karlovy Vary according to the principles of sustainable deve-lopment. The aim of this work is to propose the transformation of the current settle-ment of Tuhnice and the areas of the adjoining brownfield according to the principle of a city of short distances with a clearly legible structure of public spaces. The work is focused primarily on creating a neighborhood that meets today's requi-rements for urban housing. The proposal reflects the principles of a compact and mul-tifunctional city, using the potential of the place especially in relation to the river Ohře.
