FURNITURE

The aim of this work is to design selected parts of furniture for half-timbered building, which is currently undergoing reconstruction in Orlické hory. The thesis deals with the issue of two traditional folk crafts – vernacular furniture and blueprints, whose features and development describes. The integral intention of the work is to connect the folk culture of the 18th and 19th centuries with the present. The resulting design, which aims to preserve the uniqueness of folk furniture, is adapted to current machine production.
