Prague, city on the river Vltava: Libeň

In a broader sense, the aim of the project is working with river Vltava as with a city-forming element and a specific Prague element, whose potential is currently underused or used in a wrong way. Location Prague - Libeň has been selected for a specific design, because of its speciphic morphology and a strong historical relationship to the river. Historical and functional analysis investigates the changes in land use in the area, city and landscape analysis searches for their values and their relation. The thesis deals with physical human contact with river, stabilised locations and communities within the area. The final proposal is a possible scenario of land use and rehabilitation of the relationship with the river respecting both existing settlement and planned development.
