Solid Karlin - multifunctional city block

The aim was to design multifunctional solid object, which would have a very long life and was sufficiently flexible and universal so that it can serve different types of functional use of space. A suitable location for this type of object was selected Rohan Island in Prague Karlin. Specifically, the territory roughly in the middle of the development area near the Invalidovna Metro station. Urban design of the area consists of two multifunctional buildings situated along the street Rohanske nabrezi and residential buildings facing the river. Designed Solid Karlin object corresponds to the size of a city block. Variability of the object was checked contradictory possibilities of functional use - housing and office space.
