A part of Brno from the city center to the south seems broken and disparate due to the complex technical conditions of the flood area, the railway that creates a barrier from the city center and an amount of brownfields remaining after the industrial era.I propose to partly complete the existing blocks and partly build a new urban structure. Vital public space is a game of connections, infrastructure, the active urban parterre, processes, surfaces and outdoor furniture. The profiles of the streets are designed concerning the water management and attempt for increasing the infiltration capacity in the city. The proposal includes opening of a waterfront along the creek.
