Main Streets of Prague for the 21. Century

The diploma project formulates overall view on transformation of SJ magistrála motorway and its surroundings to a boulevard. SJ magistrála motorway is able to become one of the two most important streets in Prague. The overall concept is applied to specific parts of SJ magistrala motorway. The overall concept is based on traffic calming, sharing of public space, support of public transportation and non-motorized transportation and creating penetrable, layered, living space. This space interacts with its surroundings and Prague center may be able to extend into it.
