Prague Inner Peripheries

The thesis focuses on the phenomenon of inner periphery in urban environment. At the beginning, an overview of different types of inner periphery is given along with possible strategies how to approach them. The thesis is trying to investigate the possibilities of the strategies’ implementation in three locations in Prague: Motol, Slatiny and Barrandow. There are three strategies suggested of approaching the problem of inner periphery: delineation and articulation of “the void”, revitalization through a hybrid form of urban landscape and “filling” of the void space by urban structures.
