ŽIŽKOV, STREET

The diploma thesis deals with the adaptation and extension of the former Žižkov Market Hall. It examines the existing structure, recognizes the valuable, load-bearing. The market, under the influence of many alterations and deposits, does not possess many of its original elements. However, the value itself is the spatial structure, the 13 m wide and 60 m long hall, which preserves the memory of the place. The design explores possible uses, the theme is a community centre with workshops. A civic, public, open place where different actors can develop their activities together.
