OLOMOUC - REINFORSING THE CHARACTER OF PLACES BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE COUNTRY

The subject of the diploma thesis is revitalization of the sport area in the vicinity of Legionářská street in the northern part of Olomouc. It examines the possibilities of connecting urban greenery and its transition into the suburban landscape and offers solutions to revive the monofunctional area with housing and recreation. The work responds to the specific situation of Olomouc, which is repeated in other Czech towns – empty spaces along the city walls and the transition from the city within the walls to the area built after their demolition.
