The topic of this thesis is the design of a bicycle helmet for urban environment. The aim of this thesis is to design a helmet that, by its shape and technology, provides increased safety for the user, comfort and visual aesthetics when cycling in an urban environment. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the subject matter and provides basic definitions, a brief historical development, insight into the normatives, elements, material composition of the product and manufacturing technology of protective cycling elements. The practical part records the analysis of the topic, the progress and development of the design process, the final design and the technical documentation of the design. The output of the thesis is the final designed product and a final discussion on the fulfilment of the required criteria.
