Annotation

The aim of this thesis is to design a recreation centre for people with Parkinson disease. The site is situated amidst old estate in Little Quarter, in proximity to Strahov garden. Thanks to its unique location the building should integrate with existing urbanism and at the same time it should leverage beautiful surroundings.       The main objective for the centre is to provide wide variety of recreational and therapeutical services for both residential as well as the commuting patients. The whole centre consists of two functionally distinct parts. The first object, terminating existing street line, consists of public area for visitors, therapy, and rehabilitation area. There is residential centre for patients in the second building which is connected through the ground floor with rehabilitation area.
