Performing Arts Center

The center is located near the Holešovice market, on the bank of the Vltava River. The design is inspired by the curved shapes of the nearby sand pit. Parts of the circle are transcribed into the floor plan in the form of a semi-circular entrance or a quarter-circle concert hall. The facade also incorporates similar elements, such as two semi-circular windows on the southern side and one on the northern facade. The building responds to the surrounding views of the river, creating a pleasant place for walks. However, its greatest utilization is in the evenings during music and dance performances. Visitors are offered a cultural experience in the quarter-circle music hall. During intermissions, it is possible to visit the gallery on the ground floor, go up to the semi-circular terrace, or visit the bar on the second floor. Performers are provided with spaces for rehearsals and spacious dressing rooms.
