Affordable Housing Uppercross Křižíkova

The bachelor's thesis deals with gap site located in Karlín, Prague 8. The proposed multi-functional object encloses the space of the gap site and creates a compact build-up area, which by its character offers an overall high-quality urban environment. The shape of the proposed building respects the block structure of the build-up area and is aligned with them in terms of height. The building is designed for the main function of housing with built-in civic amenities on the ground floor of a cafe and office space. In the building, 20 housing units of the category 1+kk, 2+kk, 3+kk are designed, including mass underground parking or common living areas designated by the residents of the building. The work responds to the current needs and shortage of housing in the city of Prague.
