Strakonice - revitalization of a former factory Fezko

The main theme of my diploma project is the transformation and revitalization of the former factory complex Fezko in the historic city center of Strakonice. The area is exceptional for its location, form and neighborhoods. The factory is located near to the monumental area of Strakonice castle. Factory and castle together create a panorama of the confluence of the Otava and Volyňka river, one of the most dominant element of the Strakonice city. The project deals with the factory on several levels. It solves the future direction of the whole urban area defined by two rivers, castle and railway and determines the new utilization for several existing buildings and design new objects.
