New concert hall in Pilsen

The subject of this thesis is a design of a concert hall for the Pilsen Philharmonic.  The Proposal responds to the empty space left in the city center, where, thanks to a local referendum, where a shopping centre was supposed to be. Due to the size of the site and its unsuitability for only one building, my thesis also contains an urban concept for that space. The new building of the Philharmonic highlights the importance of the place in the city centre. It gives a solution to the lack of concert halls with sufficient acoustics, which should be primarily designed for professional musicial performances.
