Urban concept of Dolní Újezd

The subject of the diploma thesis is an urban concept of Dolní Újezd village with a focus on a treating of borders and interfaces on all levels of the design. The proposal is based on analysis of the area and on the research of borders and interfaces in a countryside. Concept stands on a vision of readable and understandable settelment, which do not deny its vernacular nature, but benefits from it and develops it further. Various characters of its individual parts are supported as well. The proposal passes from a level of the countryside, through the village itself to details of a public space. The aim of the thesis is to design cultivated, life pleasant and habitable settelment.
