JIČÍN - FROM CITY TO THE NATURE

The topic of the thesis is the definition and rehabilitation of a locality adjacent to the western edge of the city center of Jičín. The aim is to create a stabilized locality that uses the potential of the Cidlina river and strong ties to the natural landscape and the historical center. The proposal is based on analysis of the existing structure of the city. The goals and tools for each layer of the design are defined. For the localities, the typology of buildings, the transport network with street profiles, the network of public spaces and actions within them are determined.
