Osaka 2025 Pavilion

Glassmaking in the Czech Republic has a deep and ancient tradition. This served as the theme for the Pavilion of the Czech Republic at the EXPO in Japan in 2025. The two-storey building is used for holding exhibitions and lectures, on the ground floor there is also a bar for visitors. The exhibition space is on the second floor. The glass facade is made of custom-made glass tiles. My idea was that through them, the sun's Rays would create beautiful patterns inside the building, revealing all the beauty of the glass. It is a metaphor for the whole pavilion: sometimes, to see beauty, you need to look inside the human soul. This perfectly reflects the theme of the Exhibition: Society and the power of partnership.
