New City Centre of Marienbad - Gallery

The goal of the work was to design a gallery space with art studios in the center of Mariánské Lázně. With the function of the proposal, I wanted to achieve an expansion of social and cultural life not only for visitors to the spa, but mainly for the residents of the city. The first two floors are dedicated to a gallery open to the public, and the remaining 3 floors provide studios and studios for local artists and art students to work freely on their works. The specified land is divided into 9 individual parcels. The proposed object is located on the northwest corner plot between Hlavní třída and Mírové náměstí streets. With its mass, the object connects to the surrounding buildings, and the individual buildings thus create a set of buildings with two common courtyards. Passages lead between the single buildings, which allow the public free access to the courtyard.
