Launch of the book on family houses

On Tuesday, 15 November, the third publication on family houses by our teachers Ján Stempel and Jan Jakub Tesař, who invited the creator of digital images Stanislav Bažant, was launched. Together, they have created an unusual publication full of visualizations of projects that are under construction, awaiting building permits or will not be built. The colour illustrations are complemented by floor plans and sections of the designs. The publication is an original follow-up to two already published books, in which the images of the houses of Stempel and Tesar were taken by leading Czech photographers Lukáš Jasanský and Filip Šlapal.

The book was opened by the art historian Vendula Tůmová, the godfather was the artist, scenographer, teacher and former rector of UMPRUM Prof. Jindřich Smetana and the piano was played by Tono Kubasák, a legend of the Slovak big beat scene.
