Erasmus Exhibition

Annotation

On a plot in the centre of Ljubljana we propose student housing with a lively parterre and sports facilities. In the student housing building we chose a combined load-bearing system that has a basic grid of 3x3m, which is the size of a basic room that can be connected and combined in cells. The sports area is connected to the dormitories by a bridge that can be used as a shortcut or as a gateway to the internal courtyard. The main multifunctional sports field is located on the roof in the treetops with a view of Ljubljana Castle. There is a gym on the first floor, changing rooms and a café on the ground floor. The public space is envisioned as a campus that students and the public can use freely.

my key experience from erasmus

Ljubljana is a beautiful city with a great location for further exploration, mountains, nature and close by Italy. I went by car and it was a great choice, both the ability to take more stuff but also to travel around the area. The school is okay with lots of good quality electives and studios, but they operate on a yearly assignment basis, so erasmus for a semester is a problem and the only option is a studio for erasmus students only. There are plenty of experiences, whether it's a new environment, school, finding a apartament in a foreign country. Some of it is positive some of it is negative, but it was definitely a challenge that I would not have experienced in a familiar environment. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
