In the rapidly developing outskirts of Prague, Lochkov, presents itself a challenge, how to build houses and not create a lifeless suburbia, which has become so common these days? The inspiration is drawn from Baltic countries, which even in this day are still alive with beautiful, walkable neighborhoods, with their streets in the Woonerf style. Some still remember a time, when children could safely play in the streets, and neighbors meet and chat. The aim was to create a pleasant atmosphere for the whole life of a family, from young couples, till retirement. A community street provides this semi-public space, organized by the community, for the community.
