Tábor Prison

Annotation
This work deals with the design of a men's prison in the city of Tábor inspired by the Nordic model of the prison system, which emphasizes resocialization, dignified conditions and architecture supporting positive changes. This is a complex topic connecting many fields (e.g. psychology, ethics, justice and economics), which, however, architects in the Czech Republic do not come into contact with much. A high-quality prison design is essential not only for minimizing recidivism, but also for the safety and functioning of the entire society. The goal is to create an environment that supports positive changes in convicts and reflects current problems in the Czech prison system.
