Stone Island - Lucas Roumier
Annotation
The « Stone Island » is an island with an irregular geometry looking similar to the other islands in the Vltava River and constituing a new urban space in the present landscape. There is a relationship between the river and the project consisting mainly of baths. The water is both the main element of the project and of the landscape. It surrounds it and brings it to life at the same time. The project is inspired by naval architecture and boats for its morphology and volumetry and by stone cliffs for its materiality and enclosure.
