The Vltava Baths

These thermal baths mark a new direction for the city: that of reconnecting with its river. Such is the will to project itself. Like a rock overhanging the river, this building offers an esplanade, like an arm stretched out towards the Vltava and the banks of Karlín. The building is organized around a ramp that goes from the ground to the water, a slope like a plunge that immerses us in this place of intimacy and well-being, between light and darkness. A slit opens the roof along its entire length, like a crack that lets us see the reflections of the river at the end of the ramp and gives the impression of falling into the water.
