Revitalization of a former watch-tower. The memorial is the silhouette, the silhouette of the history, that doesn not change. It is filled up by a circle, a new form, which creates diversity to the clear, sharp lines of the former construction. The circle symbolizes hope for a better future and with its organic shape it celebrates the surrounding nature. The dark interior as a metaphor of a state, which was a slave of the ideology and isolation. One exit as a difficulty of crossing the iron curtain. Limited view with light coming in as a knowledge that free life exists behind the walls. The gallery with an unlimited view as a symbol of presence with unlimited decisions and possibilities.
