Libraries in the convent garden, Albertov

Building - wall. Convent complex is situated on the border of the Albertov campus and Podskalí neighbourhood. As one of the many other gated complexes in the area it creates a barrier, which is not possible to pass through and due to the high walls that surround it is even impossible to look inside. We disrupt the impermeability of the area by creating acupunctural gaps in the walls. It enables to go inside but also to keep the identity of this place behind the wall. The volumes on the edges of the area are connected by an arcade, the garden thus becames an atrium in the convent typology applicated on the whole complex.
