Horse market Turnov

The project is located in the town of Turnov in the locality called the Horse Market. The area has a great potential due to its connection to the city center and it is also lined with rivers Jizera, Stebenka and Malá Jizera. This area is currently very neglected and difficult to pass through. The urban design counts on a new block of flats connected to the existing center.

Emphasis is also placed on the permeability of the area and the involvement of the site in the daily life of the the town´s inhabitants. The current industrial building with a new market function has been left here as the reference point of the area. Most of the buildings serve as residential with an active ground floor. The area around the development is dedicated to parks and recreation with an access to the banks of the river.
