National Philharmonic

The new building of the Czech Philharmonic joins the other important buildings on the right bank of Vltava river. It has a strategic location in Park Lannova near the center of Prague and creates the magical Prague triangle together with National Theater and Prague Castle. The challenge of the lot is the traffic situation and its disproportion. My concept is two halls fronting each other connected by a common background and an overhanging entrance area linked to the garage and to the underground. This is due to the fact, that one of the prospective routes of the Metro D will cross the land.
