Fire station Vaduz

Aspects of the assignment, that had a fundamental impact on the project can be divided into two groups: the general principals of fire stations in the area of Lichtenstein and the specific dimensions of the fire station to-be in Vaduz. The “Lego” project is composed as multiple blocks of dissimilar proportions and sizes when looked at from the exterior. This composition, however, has its origin in dispositions and solutions of the interior space. The outlook of our building is strongly influenced by the materials used. It’s a combination of white concrete in the structural elements, blue metal sheets or solar panels in the outer lining, the use of photovoltaic panels as a part of the shading system in the window pains and red metal window frames.
