Ny-Ålesund

Ny-Ålesund is a small city located on the island os Spitsbergen in Svalbard, Norway. With impressive history of polar expeditions starting here, the city is now a permanent facility for research institutes. As a part of said scientific base, a new airship hangar is being built. In my project, I propose a a fully-openable hangar on a raised platform similar to offshore drilling rigs.
