Cool Holešovice - Housing for elderly

We look at aging with apprehension and resentment. Seniors are separated, living on the outskirts of cities. The Residence offers seniors a more dignified urban housing. We can find six doctors offices and apartments in the building and on the ground floor there is a pastry shop. Housing for the elderly is designed as a separate living cell, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Each room has either loggia or French windows to the courtyard. The units communicate with each other within a residential corridor into which windows from the rooms open. The seniors can also use the roof terrace. The doctors offices are accessible by a balcony from the corridor. The facade is made of prefabricated concrete panels, which give it a tectonic expression.
