AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN BERLIN

The main idea of the project was concept of "+" housing which contains functional and ecological elements at the same time. From the very beginning we knew that neighboring buildings are terraced ones. It was the reason why we tryed to have the build up area covering most of the plot area. The other goal was creating effordable living in the center of Berlin where we couldn't afford to waist space. The block of flats is supposed to help with accomodation of low-income people. It could offer not only affordable accomodation, but also imployment for some of it's residents straight in the building. Few of them could work in the garden with green house on the roof. The others could work in flower shop located in the basement of the building.
