Alotment gardens were an integral part of life of Prague´s citizens during the 20th century, as well as they were an integral part of the city structure. Peripheral sites in past, now become part of the wider centre of the city and alotment gardens are the easiest structure of the city to be redeveloped, because the change of local context during the time. What is the current state of the alotment gardens in Prague? What role do they play in the city? What are future perspectives of alotment gardens? Should alotment gardens be a planned part of a town that can be permanent? Questions about the future of the alotment gardens of Prague will be raised and answered in the diploma thesis.
