Affordable housing in Berlin

The site is located in Kreuzberg, a very specific neighborhood in Berlin. In this originally quite an industrial district found their home different alternative cultures and communities, artists, musicians.. Nowadays their presence is one of the main features of the place. The residents of Kreuzberg are embedding their identity in the surroundings by transforming them in their own way. The project tries to leave space for their self-fulfillment, whether it is by creating a new creative public space under the U-Bahn or a gallery and workrooms on the ground floor of the building. Co-living on the upper floors offers affordable housing and at the same time an opportunity to find new friends and communities.
