Housing Podbělohorská

There is a lot of inspiring interwar garden cities in Prague. Neighbourhoods like Ořechovka or Hanspaulka have their specific atmosphere and are great to live in. Sadly, they aren't that dense and therefore it is impossible to plan and design them in the wider centre. I take the principles of garden city and try to create its contemporary, denser form. With houses in gardens, calm streets, fences, small gates, benches, courtyards, hedges and trees. But at the same time with higher apartment buildings with contemporary, open and flexible layouts. I aim for a fresh contemporary version of housing estates from the 1930s and 1940s. Return to evolution, not revolution.
