two houses and the space between them different basis and the same function diverse on the inside yet united just like the surrounding qarter Our project is located in a diverse quarter called Kreuzberg. Our aim was to design shared living units. The houses have the same function but are articulated differently. Unity of the houses is also symbolised by the façade. Areas of vertical communication are connected by the use of perforated brickwork. The principle of using two types of brickwork echoes in the paving of the courtyard. The ground floors are opened to the public by a café with its main space in the northern house and minor space in the southern house. The spatious courtyard is a place that makes the calm inside world accesible to a part of the outside lively hustle.
